BEST OF 2016 Giveaway Hop

I read so many great books in 2016! My love of reading puts me in a variety of genres. I do the yearly Goodreads challenge and hit 154 books. My goal this year is not quite so steep so I can help out more on beta reading projects and reading all the books I’ve purchased. So, even though I only set the goal at 50, that sounds crazy low since I’ve been over 100 the last three years. Who knows what the year will bring. What are you looking forward to for 2017? Please comment below and let me know if there is something you’re waiting impatiently for. I know all of these ladies have books coming that promise to be great, and Kishan Paul will finally be releasing the follow up to the Second Wife.

What are you currently reading? I’m working my way through Anna Kendrick’s Scrappy Little Nobody, a pile of Harlequin purchases, and I just finished Big Rock by Lauren Blakely. My next week or so will be tied up with beta reading projects & reading a book so I can update it’s website page. I’m also eyeing Paige Tyler’s Dallas Fire & Rescue Kindle World… new releases on January 19! I love those firefighters.

You can add me as a friend on Goodreads. Feel free to send me recommendations of your favorite books if there is something you love.

Check out these books from last year that I recommend.

The King’s Fate by Rissa Blakeley

Genre: Paranormal Romance/ Fantasy/ M/M Romance

Why I recommend: If you like vampires, vengeful fae, a twisty plot that keeps you on your toes, check this out. It also will take you from the past to the present with this love story that spans centuries. Warning: there is M/M and M/F/M sex inside (possibly some other variations, too). The overall story is well written and will appeal to the old-school vampire lovers.

Where you can buy it: Amazon (Also on Kindle Unlimited)

The Good Doctor Trilogy by Renea Mason

Genre: Erotic Romance/ Medical Mystery

This is a series that will take you out of your comfort zone on so many levels. The final books (which released in 2016) put a crazy end to the series that will leave you reeling. Warning, if the thought of one woman and three men bothers you, this isn’t the series for you. But if you like to be adventuresome, read them all in order today.

Where to buy: Visit for samples & all purchasing options. The books are on all vendors and on audiobook @

The Dragon Fey Saga by Michelle Rabe

Genre: Fantasy / Fantasy Romance

These two books you’ll want to read back to back. A fantasy world with dragons. Who doesn’t love a good dragon story? This author has a great knack for writing a story that puts you in the scene and keeping you intrigued.

Where you can buy it: Amazon (Also on Kindle Unlimited)

Sultry Nights by Valerie Twombly

Genre: Paranormal Romance/ Fantasy

While Ms. Twombly released several great books this year, this is probably the funniest and most underrated story. The main characters are a jinn and a witch, the location is primarily a beautiful beachy- island location, and the plot really keeps you guessing.

Where to buy:

Paper Love by Aubrey Wynne

Genre: Sweet contemporary romance

This is a magical tale that will have you believing in true love. Based on real-life characters (he really did fold all of those origami animals!), you’ll feel like these characters are your best friends as you watch their story unfold.
